I am going on holiday to Egypt in a few weeks (from the UK) and cannot decide which currency to take. Can anybody tell me if i will get more value for money with US dollars or Egyptian pounds?

I have heard reference to people saying "sharm el shite", is it really that bad? Is the rest of Egypt any better? Are these people expecting too much from a 3rd world country? And indeed is it a 3rd world country? I am just trying to figure out what to expect from a holiday in [...]

i want to bring my protein powder with me when going on holiday to egypt. it’s chocolate flavour and will be in it’s origional ‘my protein’ pouch. it weighs about 900grams. i was wondering wether it would be fine or get searched if it was in my suitcase?? thanks in advance
